I have a Traditions buckstalker and it shoots good groups with 90g of 3f Goex and a 250g smackdown bullet and sabot. This past season was my first with a modern muzzleloader, I have been shooting a round ball for the past 25 years out of a side hammer.

I beleive that it`s Barns that makes an alinement tool for loading bullets. Itfit on the end of your ramrod and is concaved to keep the bullet straight in the bore. It cut the groups by more than 1/2 in my Encore. I saw Mid Way had them on sale this week and they are a great investment.

Yep Catfish it is Barnes that makes the alignment accessory. I have some of the Barnes bullets and the alignment seater..works good. I have only shot a half dozen or so though..They are very accurate..but I had to adjust the scope a bit..they shoot lower than my 250 gr saboted pistol bullets. They are also a bit faster than the pistol bullets and definitely more streamlined. Out of my Savage ML 10 I got a bit better than 2300 fps with the appropriate charge of Smokeless. Those bullets are expensive though..and I am a bit ...thrifty..yep thrifty is the right word
