The Glock 19 is finished
I just finished the Glock 19 custom gun for the Combat Rescue Officer. He will carry it with him back to Afghanistan and it is 100% right, dead on the money. It is a gift, from me, to keep a him alive, in a tight.
It is quite a gun if I do say so myself. A set of Warren tactical sights, extended slide release, +2 Glock mag pads, +10 % magazine springs, titanium safety and new safety spring, Ghost Maker Rocket trigger connector, Mag-na-port slide and barrel ports and Jarred grip plug. Three fitted 17 round magazines. All parts inspected and deburred, then polished as needed with 800 grit hard polish and the trigger set to a constant 3.25 pounds (as specified) with factory striker and springs, except the safety. Ejector recut to throw brass out and to the right of the shooter not into the shooter's face. The last part was the setup with 300 rounds of NATO 115s at 1260 fps and 300 rounds of NATO 124s at 1100 fps. Hard primer tested with 25 rounds of CCI small rifle and 12 rounds of frangible 100 gr loads. Total malfunctions, two failures to feed after an intentional loose back strap hold with 115gr target loads (an additional 100 rounds) a setup total of 737 rounds. Last test, 12 rounds into the center of a Texas star's, star at 15 yards, 6 115s and 6 124s shot into the same group, point of aim, off hand (as specified). The gun comes with a full set of extra parts; a national match cut rifled barrel, original sights, all of the springs, original safety, new extractor, new ejector block, original connector, slide release, and a set of tools all in one pouch. If I am a gun building guy, it is the best thing I can do for a combat guy, make him a personal carry gun, that he can carry in a zone where personal carry is allowed. My direct contribution to the war. ![]() Ed

That sounds like a great job- and a great idea to do it!
