Looking forward to groundhoggin'
After two years of not getting any time to hunt groundhogs I'm making it a priority to get out more this season.
Have been going over my varmint guns and started working on loads for them. Am looking for some new places to go in Lebanon, Berks and Schuylkill county. Have heard there might be some good fields down near Columbia off of Rt# 30but don't know the area.

Hey Skeet, still haven't heard.
I'm preparing for the worst and have written that contract off. And from a source, the individual sent by the company didn't make a good initial first impression.

I have loaded about 150 rounds for the .20 caliber "Death Ray". Am working on developing a load for the 22-250 AI using 52 gr. HPBT bullets and Varget powder.Made the gun last year and didn't have time to pursue accuracy. Shot the standard last year.
Also acquired a 22-250 AI barrel in 1 X 8 twist. When I can find a Remington 700 short action will make a rifle for shooting the 75-80 gr. bullets. Have to try it. |

Bad day for dogs. Went out yesterday with brother-in-law to shoot a few p-dogs. The wind was unbelieveably fast. I tried a few shots with the 22-250AI at about 200 yards but couldn't keep the crosshairs on a dog long enough to squeeze the trigger. No fun shooting them close with that gun. B-i-l used my .223 bolt and shot a few at about 100 yds. This years young aren't coming out yet, whether it is because they are too young or the bad wind. Will try again later with my son and grandson.

Son and I went out on June 17 and shot some p-dogs. Only saw a few immature pups with the adults. I figure they are about 1 month behind this year. Spring has lasted so long we are going to have a very short summer.
