Wipe-Out Foaming Bore Cleaner

Has anyone tried Wipe Out aerosol foaming bore cleaner? It's billed primarily as a copper fouling remover. We got some and I tried it in the barrel of my 98 Mauser sporter. In the past, I had never been able to get that barrel completely clean, i.e. pure white patches. Finally, after a couple of days of repeated applications, I finally got that white patch. We also got and tried some of the same company's Accelerator solvent that supposedly cuts the sit-and-wait time (1-hr. min.) in half. We also tried it in my son's 700 BDL and my Savage 340 and it only took a couple of 1-hr. applications to get a clean patch. The company says to take a gun that you consider has an absolutely clean barrel and try Wipe Out in it. They say you will probably get patches showing the dark blue copper fouling. I'd say the stuff seemed to work pretty good and doesn't really require much more effort and/or time than conventional cleaning with something like Hoppe's No. 9. I was just wondering if anyone else had tried and, if so, what you thought of it.

I've been using this stuff for over 3 years now. My procedure is to wet the bore with Hoppes #9, Shooters Choice or something similar, run a brass brush through several times, apply more solvent soaked patches and then run dry patches through to remove solvent. After that, I squirt the barrel full of Wipe-Out and let sit overnight. Sometimes only one Wipe-Out treatment is needed (before the patches come out without blue on them). Fairly often, two Wipe-Out treatments are needed and once I did three.

Does this work? I can only judge by the patches that finally come out clean. I have an Outers Foul-Out electronic cleaning kit that I intend to try one of these days. Will be interesting to see it anything else comes out of a supposedly clean barrel.

270m Man.. I have a Foul Out too. It works really well but after cleaning the bore it is chemically clean and you have to put some type of grease or oil on the bore. I've been wanting to try the Wipe out stuff. I have an old 270 that needs a good bore cleaning and an older Rem 700 in 6mm. Gonna get some of that wipe out and use each on a bore first then follow up with the other. I will post my results after I do the dirty deed.. The Foul Out deposits the jacket material on the rod down the bore.. I used the foul out on an older pre 64 Model 70 in 243 that just didn't shoot like it used to..after the foul out it shot great again. That is where I learned you had to oil the bore..It started to rust after a few days....just a stain.. and it cleaned right out..

Wipe-Out is the best thing since sliced bread.
It doesn't need any other solvents to help it clean.
It'll do the job in one hour or less.
the Accelerator works well also but I really like their newer Patch-Out.
I put either W-out or P-out in the barrel, let it do its work, run a nylon brush through a couple times and then a cleaning jag.
Repeat as needed.

I've found that Hoppes, CR10 and others are just a waste of time and money.
