Shotgun Front Sight
Does anyone know where I could find a good front sight for a 10-gauge shotgun without a vent rib, that may stick to the muzzle end via glue or magnets (I don't want to have to tap it)? Having trouble finding such a thing.
Thanks. |

Duffy, In all of the supply catalogs I get, I have never seen front sight glue, epoxy, or anything else that will hold the front sight on a shotgun. Dtrill and tap the barrelis the only way.

Poly choke used to have some stuff they sold to attach ribs and sight bases to shotguns..It was an epoxy..but they are no longer available i don't think.. I actually attached some ribs to a few guns..They stayed on too. One was a Remington 11---recoil operated ...and it is still being used..Been 15 or more years.

Years ago I bought a set of sites for my 835 turkey gun. I hated the rear site but the front one remains. It is a round orange plastic strip that had a screw that went in the front bead hole and the rest ot the strip had adhesive that stuck to the rib. It is still on there after years of my abuse.
No clue after all these years what the brand was but it was one of the main brands at the time. |

Mostly what I see is drilled and tapped. Tried glue a few on a number of years back. They never seemed to last. Either broke off or flew off during recoil.

Thanks for the responses, all. Looks like I'll be getting it drilled/tapped.
