Three of us gonna be gone Friday-Wednesday up in the Yampa Valley for Elk. Hope those two kids don't kill me! LOL

Nothing to report, yet. We spent three long days ridge running and saw absolutely nothing! Had a nice camp time, partners were the best I've been with in years. However, gonna try it again this weekend. I did manage to lose 3 pounds though. LOL
Dan

Up Date
Just got in, partners walked about 20 miles, ole goat spent every daylight hour glassing game trails. Two weekend and we saw NOTHING! First time ever for that to happen. Oh well, next year.
Actually, only heard 4 shots....strange.

Colo, this GMU 15. Getting a little tired of that area. Unfair question, you have any thoughts on a GMU west of the divide?

Hunted a total of 6 days, the two youngsters that invited me hit heavy timber and ridge running. After first day, ole goat glassed game trails every daylight hour. We worked country from 10K down to about 6.5K.Saw absolutely NO Elk. Only heard about 4 shots.
Had a great crew and camp....hunting was a total bummer. Thinking about trying a new area next year. Open to suggestions.
Dan

Actually, that area has Moose and Deer. We didn't seen anything! Only consolation was no one else was either.
