Great Season, Never fired a shot.

This was my 62nd deer season in Wisconsin, missed one in Korea. Never fired a shot, but best season ever. My son is a Conservation Warden but had last Monday and Tuesday off, my daughter came up to hunt with us for a couple of days. My friend from SW Louisiana came up as usual for deer season. On Monday my Cajun buddy got two big does, great now get to eat local venison when I go to La. for ducks. On Tues. my daughter, who has already killed probably 75 deer in her life shot the biggest buck she has ever killed. A very big 4-5yr. old 10 pointer. This also was my birthday and the best present ever to be able to hunt with both of my children. My son who only had 2 days to hunt never fired a shot and neither did I, but will be a memorable deer season for me, one of the best. Believe this was my daughters 37th deer season.

Pop, have any photos of the 10 pt? My youngest daughter still hunts with me and got an 8pt with crossbow this year. I sit with her most of the time unless I take my little stroll in the woods so get to watch her pull the trigger most of the time. That is by far better than shooting one myself.. even though I did get a 7pt later with xbow. Doe with black powder and another doe with bow.. turned out be good season for freezer even though deer started out scarce due to the guy wiping out the whole herd a few yrs ago. 23 ?? We didn't get any of our deer by the house here by the way and not in same areas. nobody needs that many. But glad you guys had a good time and GL on duck hunt... time to run now and watch my local flock of turkey (over 100) that stop in my yard first thing in morning..and again last thing in evening on way back to roost.. love them birds.
