Thanks Blaine,

I'll give it a go. W/10X pwder that 40 grainer moves pretty decent and shoots pretty decent also in my 222. An old 722 w/26" bbl.

I'll warm up on things this summer and get serious on the yotes come fall/winter.

Yes is the answer to your 222 killing coyotes. I have killed over 500 and around half was with a 222. I worked for the US Dept. of Interior Fish & Wildlife Service throughout college as a Federal Hunter. When you get good at calling, you will find that 90 percent of your shots are under 100 yards and when you get real good at calling, 90 percent of those shots will be under 50 yards. Fox, bobcats and all other critters will come within 25 yards. Once you have called in a few, you will change your scope to a 4x because of the 50 yards and under shots.
