Caught one monday that was 10'6". If i get a sec i'll see if i can figure how to get a pic on here. We set lines and do it comercially

We sell at a co-op and somebody has been saying between it'll be 20-25 $. I think there is enough alligators havested in florida and west louisiana to satisfy the market. Just east of us a good bit of alligator farms were wiped out. So far i,ve caught 7 and my dads caught 5. Not bad considering you hardly could get around in the swamp with all the trees down.

I,m curious about something too. In a post a good while back you said that you killed gators with an ice pick how do you do that. When we have one on a line he is too ticked off to let us touch him we anything much less jab him we an ice pick. We use a 22 or a 22 magnum. Year before last we had a really big 11'6" that had eaten a 5 footer that was on the line. He gave the 22 a hard time we shot him 5 times.

I dont remember the ice pick quote, unless we were at the processors and he did it or maybe we used one to pierce his brain not sure about that one...seems most of the ones I get these days are still alive going into the freezer....I am past cleaning up all that blood at 9 am these days......we are not allowed to have firearms on the boat...we use a 38 or 45 calibur. bangstick...and for the really big boys its not unheard of hitting them more than once..
