In 1961 the late Clyde Ormond picked the .243 Winchester, 7x61S&H and the .338 Winchester. I liked his picks then, but today the .257 AI Roberts, .300 Weatherby and the .338 Winchester would be mine.

Probably a .223, 30-06, and a .416 Rem just to be a bit different. LOL! But in reality, what fun would 3 guns be?

Guess, I'd have to figure out what gets used the most. Have to go with flow on the 22-250, 30-06 and then the 45-70. Hate to leave the rest of them in the safes though, they're all fun to shoot.

I think the 220 swift, 300 RUM, and 45-70 should do it all.

Three Calibers for North America

In no particular order I would choose:

CZ 6.5X55
Tika 6,5X55
Winchester 6.5X55 (if your lucky enough to find one)

These three choices will do it all.

Hello Baylian,

For me and hunting, it would be the versatility and reload-ability of these calibers.

.22 magnum Lots of punch for small game, and Javelina sized animals

25-06 Rem. P-dogs to Antelope sized game

.300 Win Mag Feral Hogs to Kodiak

Peace,
Talon

Smile

Just remember, the question was 'to hunt the world' so all those calibers under .375H&H would not meet the minimum requirements in some countries to hunt with, i.e., dangerous game on the dark continent . . .

We'll have to make it four calibers to hunt the world with, course for me it's something like 20 and counting . . .
