There it is for where my wife works. $2.03.

Now, I checked it where we live and the lowest is $2.57 and the majority are at $2.59. What makes gas so much cheaper in Gainesville?

I do alot of travelling with business. This is nothing concrete, but heres what I have noticed over the years.....

As a rule, the SE and Midwest seem to be the cheapest. S.Carolina always seems to be cheaper than most. Right here in MO and OK seem to keep prices down as does AR. The west seems to be the highest. Havent done alot in the NE, but what I have is normally close to the west.

Interstates tend to have higher gas along them than a little ways off, but not too far. Get too far off the main roads and it goes up.

Like I said, these are just observations over the years....

FWIW

Here's another one

This is the site I use to find the cheapest gas. It's updated fairly regularly by the registered members and it's correct as far as I've noticed. http://www.gasbuddy.com/
