Yes GOB my Grandmothers could make a meal out of just about anything. I've seen them make some good stuff out of nothing. When they grew up in Italy they had nothing and learned to live with nothing. Believe me when I say they lived thru WWII eating dirt and survive it say's something for the Greatest Generation.

Yes yes it does buddy. My grandfather, grandmother, and their parents, brothers and sisters all went through the great depression. These were the people that raised me while dad was defending the country. It's probably why I don't get along with so many folks my age, I have alot of respect for making something out of nothing.

Oh, I'm sorry.
I thought this thread was about BO's re-election chances...

More canning. So Friday we canned four quarts of homemade spaghetti sauce, this is a new recipe to us but it started life as twenty or so pounds of fresh tomatoes. Then thirteen pints of yellow crookneck squash pickles relish. Yesterday afternoon my cousin delivered the first of three unshelled bushels of purple hulls we ordered from him at around seven, by eleven they were all shelled and we were playing dominos. Hopefully I will get them canned today.
