Well, it sure looks like you found your turkey load for this season! I plan on using my 12 gauge drop-in barrel for the .54 Renegade. I also plan on using my .50 smooth barrel on the .50 flint Hawken stock. Adam |
Great! Just out of curiosity, did you do a velocity test on that load? Do you think that load might be safe in my Cabela's trade musket? Might have to give that one a try.......
BTW: Guess what we used for penetration tests for turkey loads.......Turkey necks! (save 'em from thanksgiving; nobody eats 'em anyway!;) ) |
I got the .62cal load from Bob Spencer's website (below)...an excellent article by one of traditional Muzzleloading's credible, experienced people...the whole articles is good read too.
