I was in Corolla last year for the 4th of July. Spent an entire week with my wife, my brother, and my brother's girlfriend. The Outer Banks is a great place to vacation. Wanted to kick my brother for not telling me about being able to drive a 4x4 on the beach. I took my Taurus down there and left my F-350 here. What a waste that was.
Anyway, I hope you have a great time. There are tons of fishing charters that you can take, and if you had given me a month or two heads up I would have tried to work something out. Let me know how the vacation turns out.
Oh yeah, it is only a little over 4 hours from my place. LOL
