All those poor people. It sounds like they were lucky that more people weren't killed.

This is one of the reasons I'm not overly fond of bridges.

Boy that scared the heck out of me. My daughter lives in Farmington and crosses that bridge daily to get into Minneapolis.

Shes going to have a long slow commute to work from now on. Just thankful she wasn't there at that time I hope.

Billy D., glad you heard from your daughter. That's the most traveled bridge in Minnesota and almost everyone in the state knows somebody that travels over it at least once a day.

I live in MN and it is the only news on the radio & TV today. When this is all done there are going to be a lot of stories about the rescues. I'm afraid it's all down to recovery work now and that concerns me a bit, there is going to be some very dangerous work involved in that river. Keep those divers in your prayers, they've got a huge job ahead of them down there on the bottom of the Mississippi.

This is a horrible occurance all the way around. For a little perspective for folks around the country it would be like taking the biggest highway going into your biggest town and removing a 1/2 mile section of both in and out bound lanes then run the Mississippi through the hole.

The school bus is just the Big Guy watching out for the kids.
