If you don't buy things from Mexico or China, where are you getting your pocket knives?
I got my pocket knives directly from Italy from a guy that makes them himself. He is from my dad's home town. I hunted with one of his friends here in the US, and when I told him I spent $40 for my Gerber knife, he almost fell out of his seat. When my sister told him her BMW was $44,000, he thought she was joking.
