I believe that government prevents mass confusion and chaos, and that ultimatly the states well being is more important than the indiviguals well being.... if the circumstances were different i would think differently (ie. if the whole world were populated like Alaska, a few people per square mile keeping to themselves) but with the way people in todays world think and the way population is, its hard to live without these values...

I ended up close to 1 and 1, which surprised me (pretty close to center). I became suspicious of the whole thing when I saw that John Kerry was ranked pretty far to the right.
