Benelli SS??

Show a picture or a link. Name of Benelli is a strike against it right off the bat IMO.

Here is the link. I pretty much have it book marked.

I was debating the first Super Sport (i.e., without the recoil reducing stock) when I bought the new Beretta Teknys 391 Gold Sporting Clays gun about 1 1/2 years ago. I am so pleased with the way I have been shooting the 391, that I am glad I didn't buy the Benelli. Of course, I might have shot just as well or better with the Benelli, but my scores with the Beretta have been pretty good and the recoil factor has been pretty good too.

With that said, I love my Benelli SBE too. If I had the money, I would own both the Benelli Super Sport and the Beretta Teknys 391 Gold, but I don't right now. Heck, I am contemplating the purchase of the new Benelli SBE II for the reduced recoil stock. Maybe I will talk my brother into buying the Benelli Super Sport this spring for sporting clays.

Benelli Sport

Oh heck..I have one of the Benelli Sports...I really don't like the darn thing. It has a rib you can take off and change to another. Shoots ok but I'm going to get rid of it. Not my cup of tea. Don't think I've put 2 boxes of shells through it. Nice gun but I have a bunch of them. And that criogenic thing is a bunch of malarkey...in a shot gun. A rifle...that may be different. Pressures are much different in a rifle. JMHO

Skeet,

Let me know if you really want to get rid of that Super Sport. If it is the one with the carbon fiber looking stock and Comfortech system on it, I might be interested if the price is right.

Regarding the replaceable rib, the Beretta 391 Teknys Gold Sporting Clays gun has an exchangeable rib too.
