round balls frome a inline

I got my first in line i have been useing a side lock for years and i have lots of round balls becouse i have a mold.
I was wondering if i put one 50 grain pellut could i shoot round balls safely just for practice or small game.

inline Roundballs

Try it out. My grandson has been shooting roundballs out of his traditions inline. 1 50 gr pellet of 777 works pretty well for plinking and such. He uses 2 with a Hornady sabot for deer. That's good for 50-75 yds for him..

There's no safety issues if you're shooting a 490 ball in a 50cal inline. 50 grains of powder should be enough to push the ball out of the barrel with little trouble. If you are just practicing, buy some loose powder - it's 10 times cheaper anyway. Load at least 65 grains.

Accuracy will either be decent or terrible at 50 yards.
