I never appreciated the older military rifles until I got snowed in one winter a while back and decided to amuse myself by restoring an old Swede M96. It ended up being a thing of beauty. I've since done 2 more M96s, a .303SMLE and a German 8x57. This is becoming a fascinating hobby with me. I have no desire to sporterize them, just restoration. Need a hobby? This is an enjoyable one.
