Arrowed a Spike Tonight

I hunted tonight for the last time this season. I had shot 2 bucks a couple of weeks ago on the last day of the regular season and one of them had some type of Cancer or disease so I threw the meat away. Well I was on a mission to get at least one more deer and I did it. I shot a spike at 17 yards and put a cut through the bottom of his heart with one of the broadhead blades. He jumped and ran about 10 yards then he walked for about 20 more yards and piled up perfect. It was not a huge spike but it will make some good pan sausage.. I might be able to take my son on Sunday but I'm not sure yet. At least I got a couple deer for some meat this year. I only got one small Doe last year and her meat has been gone for many moons now

I didn't get any pics but theres not much to look at with a spike..

all deer taken with a bow are trophies! . The meat should be great,be just as proud of this spike as you are any other deer you have taken. You made a good killing shot on legal game.

Congrats and enjoy the meat as well as the memories!
