How can you tell?

I noticed that Redfield is all over the pages of gunbroker and auction arms (for example).

Cheaper than Dirt, SWFA and Ultimate Outdoors, have REDFIELD listed in stock, with the Tracker and Illuminator scopes, but how would one know if it is;

A-Denver oridinal

B-Blount ka-ka

C-Meade Improved (we can hope)

Although I wouldn't buy one, the newer Tascos (post Bushnell) have serial numbers on the bottom of the ocular bell, so you would have a hint should if you go that way.

But back to Redfield, I really like the Denver model Golden 5-Stars. As usuall for money in a crunch, I had to sell my Redfields,but want to stock 'em back up should I find any. But I want only Denver models.............................Jon
