What kinda fishin'?

Wonderin' what you folks enjoy most. . . .

Me I like perchin' most. Catfishin' comes a close second.

I like fishing, period...but there's something about fly fishing that's appealing. I think it's the challenge of trying to give just the right presentation and dropping the fly in just the right place. I don't exactly know why, but I really like fly fishing.

While I enjoy most types of fishing, I've always had a little more desire for the big predators of freshwater. If I had to pick one kind of fishing to do, it would be for trophy-sized walleye or pike.

How come you aint put "anything that bites" up yonder?

Iffin I had to choose, it would be catfishin. I fish fer everything...but there aint nuthin like a starry night on the river, a roarin fire, a cast iron kettle of beans & cornbread over that there fire...a lil moonshine..the hoot owls & whipporwhills singin..and the cling-clankin of bells on the end of yer rod when a big ole cat gits a hold of yer bait. Yessir...that there is fishin..sho nuff.

Thumbs up

I voted for Catfishing, But for Catfish I have to catch a Bucket of Bluegill on a hook. I love Fishing all together, I fish for everything I can in our area. I love all fishing, Its just like Hunting to me. Its in my blood. If I wasnt Disabled Id be fishing a whole lot more than I get to do now. As long as I can go I will, I may not get to fish as long as I want to or get in my Boat. But I make the best of anytime I get to go.

Well if ya want to get down an dirty with it, I just tend ta bait a #8 long shank bronze aberdeen crickett hook with a half inch hunk o night crawler, and catch whatever latches onto it first. I have caught some nice sized bass that a way not to mention several dumptruck loads o perch.

An LilRed as fer Beer, I figgered most folks r probably like my old fishin' buddies. That can may have started out holdin' beer, but they refilled it with whatever was handy as the day went on. . . .

I enjoy fishing for just about anything...especially if they're biting! But would have to say that Largemouth/Smallmouth Bass rate at the top of my list followed closely by muskie fishing for some hog "toothy critters", or speaking of "Toothy Critters", cranking a spoon at warp speed through some shallow flats of cabbageweed or coontail and seeing giant pike create wakes of sand and silt visible through your polarized lenses as they barrel after your lures or ooh, ooh, seeing my darlin little niece's face light up like a Christmas tree as she hooks into a some slab bull blugills or...

I think you get the picture that I enjoy fishing, though I don't have the time at all like I used to.

Ok, I'm confused here, are we fishin or drinkin or both? I have to admit, I've never had to go fishin for my beer. I've never let it get that far away. Growing up it was always catfishin. Now given teh choice it would be walleyein, but I noticed that wasn't listed so had to vote for catfishin. But like Steverino said there is nothing like a Pike busting out of cover to chase down a spinnerbait while you are looking on.

I voted for fly fishing. Its just has abit involvement.
I love Salmon fishing the most (when the Salmon are running). It has more fighting, than cast, and reeling.

Most of the rest is just something to do while you are drinking beer.
