Remove and re-seat the battery a couple of times. Bend the prongs of the AC plug inward to make sure they make contact. Plug and unplug the power supply a couple of times. Do the same on the computer end.

When they are totally dead, sometimes they are easiest to fix. Imperfect connections are a really common root cause.
