I looked a simular one a while back. The problem I saw was there was no real way to get light down directly in front of you.

I went to a light with straps that has different aiming options. It is a rayovac I think. They are on sale at a local store for $10 right now. I paid $17 I think

It has three choices of lights on the switch.

There is a light that clips on your hat brim. I felt that there was not much adjustment in where the beam shone with it. If you wanted to work on something in your hands you couldn't get the light to shine there.

Campers and backpackers have been using lights that use a headstrap for years. There are many makes and models available in a wide range of prices.
Some use LED's and some use conventional bulbs.. and there are different battery set ups, too.
A quick look in any camping supply store will turn up several models.
You can also get a strap that goes around your head and holds a Mini Maglite.

i have seen the head-lamps, but i like this hat because you get the camo hat along with the light - all built into one. I do see the point about shining the light straight down. I see that head-lite offers a 4-position hat, but I do not know if this would help or not.

jaclinto....doesn't everything have it's good and bad points about it?...I say get one....can't ever have enough of these 'needed' items....I use those strap head lights....can adjust the beam too but also have tons of others too....even those 2 that never need batteries ya see advertised....I got as a gift but they are a rip off...I don't think you could read a map to get anywhere if needed in dark...but you would have a set of arm muscles like Arnold keeping them lit.....shake.....I kind a like this hat anyhow too
