Colt AR-15A2 HBs prices

A local police department is selling off some of their Colt AR-15A2 HB rifles. I saw one that was unused, pre-ban and in the original box with a desiccator cloth in the bore and all accessories. These rifles broke the price "sound barrier" of $2,000.00 during the Clinton assault gun ban days from 1994 to 2004. Prices have come down and they should continue to decline. The rifle described above was hang tagged at $980.00. It went out the door of the gun shop for $860.00. What a deal. All the best...

That is unless you live in Maryland. Maryland has a bill in the General Assembly to ban the sale or transport of "assault weapons" into the state. At least there is a grandfather clause that allows all guns bought before 1994 and all guns bought between 2004 and October 1, 2006 IF they are registered with the State Police before December 1, 2006. I wrote my state representatives and guess what, I didn't even get a response from them. This state truly aggrivates the heck out of me, and if I wasn't tied to it through my clients, law license, and CPA license, I would probably move. Virginia is starting to look more and more appealing.
