Thanks for doing the math for me! By the sound of it the 15/16oz load may be exactly what he was trying to achieve. That would be heavier then the 7/8, and lighter then the 1oz.

As I mentioned he was a big sporting clays buff. Actually sold me a flat of factory AA Super Sport shells 1oz 1350fps for $20. I also got 2 flats of factory Fiocchi multi sport 3dram 1oz loads for the same. I couldn't resist those prices even though they are a little fast for trap shooting. He threw in his handloaded shells. 2 flats of AA hulls, with this load I was mentioning. As well I got a couple of flats of factory 7-1/2-1/8oz Challenger shells, approx 5lbs of powder, and about 1000 AA hulls once fired. Sweet!

I just hope he dosen't move back, before I get to shoot them all. One winter in Ontario, and he soon may be....
