Illinois Deer Classic
Don't know if anyone had the chance to go to the show this past weekend in Bloomington. I headed down on Saturday. It was my first time going. Saw some very nice taxidermy mounts that I thought I'd share both typical and non-typical bucks. Nice show and some good seminars.
The last couple of pics are from Byron Ferguson's archery trick show. The man is a gentleman and a heckofa bowshot to boot! He asked for any members of the audience that have ever served in our Armed Forces to stand and the audience erupted into a standing ovation. He called each and every one a hero-real classy! I also learned that he is the new pitchman for the Imperial Shrade knife company and will be doing a benefit exhibition at the Walter Reed Medical facility next month for soldiers and their families. The president of Schrade is said to be footing all of the expenses as well as giving all of the soldiers present an array of Schrade hardware. If you've never seen Byron, treat yourself. The bantering back and forth between him and his lovely wife Wilma is a hoot!
Anyhow...enjoy the pics. I apologize in advance for the quality of the pics-a security guard at the Interstate Center in Bloomington told me that over 35,000 folks were at this show on Saturday so jockeying for prime photo real estate proved to be a real challenge!
