.303 British 10 rd. Magazines

Anyone knows where can pick up extra magazines, .303 British 10 rd. magizine.???? Was in a store in Southern W.Va. several years ago, and there was a bushel basket of nothing but these magazines, aquired a .303 later that year, next fall I was back that way, and the store had went from a surplus store to a reality office, a year late and a dollar short

larry,

The No.1 MkIII and No.4 Mk1 ten-round magazines are not interchangeable. I have several No.1 MkIII arms and their magazines are not interchangeable. I suggest you take your rifle and a few dummy rounds with you and select spare magazines that work in your rifle.

It depends

Once you determine if you have a No. 1 Mark III (open sights and mannlicher-type stock), or a No. 4 Mark I rifle (with a peep sight) there are several places that might be able to assist you. Check at Sarco, Inc. at www.sarcoinc.com or Gun Parts Corporation at www.gunpartscorp.com. Hope this helps. All the best...
