road side trapping
hellow, do yall think its a good idea to coax a landowner into letting me trap the sides of the roads he owns

It is to his benifit and in lots of states you dont need to ask if you are still on county right of way.
Many coon and muskrat and possoms are cought in culverts and ditchs. If it wasnt for trappers in many rural areas you would have road wash out and coons and possoms can realy mess up a farmers field. |

whats county right of way, does that mean i dont have to ask to trap on sides of roads if its out side city limits

I would guess that it depends upon state law.
Although the property lines do go to the middle of the road here in Iowa I have every right to be there. |

Just bear in mind that others use these rights of ways also to run their dogs, ride horses ect. so be careful in what and how you do it.
