I put a deposit on a new GSP pup.

I had the OLD (13 years) lab put to sleep a couple weeks ago. I am getting a new pup from the same breeder that I got my current GSP from. The litter is due 4-20 which should make take home time about June 15.

I have attached the bio sheet on the Stud of the pups. I also know the *****, and have seen pics of her holding a point on a wing when she was only 5 weeks old!

I am excited!

I will be counting the weeks now...

Jabba,

Sorry to hear about your loss, and I am looking forward to some stories about the new puppy during the summer.

Jabba:
Sorry to hear about the old dog, but man if that pup looks anything like it's parents, it'll be a looker. Can't wait to see some pics when you get it. Good luck to you, I'm jealous.

No offense guys, but I'll stick with my Golden and Chocolate
Pointing Labs. Those poor short-haired hounds freeze here
in MN during the late season.

No worries. I'd never put down another mans dog.

I have had labs all my life. They are fine dogs, but do not suit my life style and hunting habits as well as a shorthair. I do not waterfowl much, and when I do it's the Early Sept goose season. I hunt hot weather a lot, and it bakes the labs to hunt in that.

And most of my labs have just been stinky and shedding monsters in the house. My dogs are 95% house pets and 5% hunting dogs. I mean they are bred and trained toh unt, and are good when we do it, but they live in the house all year long and are part of the family. For me, they just do not leave the hair piles and stink that the longer haired, more oily labs do.

Plus in Indiana, the winters are a lot milder. A LOT.
