Old Shep

Never knew what breed he was, I think collie & Shepard mix.
All black except for brown around his eyes and nose (almost like a bear) some brown on his chest, paws up to elbows, and under his belly with a little white on his chest. Long hair, with and under fur, simular to a bear's.

Never a cross dog, good with children, good watch dog, just a great friendly dog, go to his box say" Shep, time to be tied" he would walk over and let you tie him. Hot weather would shear him, he would lay still till finished one side, roll him over, and finish. Died of old age last year, Mother had him since 1990 as a pup.

Would like to find another dog like him, probably never will, just a great all around dog, everyone loved him !

Would like to find a pup like him !

Sorry to hear about your loss, but good to hear a story of such a great sounding dog. Best of luck to you in your search for another dog.

There is a saying that a man will only have one great dog during his lifetime. Looks like you had yours. I think I have mine in Nitro, but if I do get one better than Nitro the dog will actually be shooting the birds for me and that wouldn't be any fun.
