Question BP substitutes in traditional arms

Just out of curiousity, has anyone tried some of the newer BP substitutes in thier traditional arms, esp. in flintlocks? I'm curious as to how well the work. WHile I will always be a BP guy, I think the day may come were it will be next to impossible for me to obtain real BP due to rules, regulations, shops closing, ect. I am specifically looking at Goex Pinnacle and American Pioneer, if that helps, and I'm wondering if these can be set off with a pan of the stuff in a flintlock, or if it can be set off with a ffffg priming charge in the pan. Thanks for any info you can pass along.......

Mr. 16 gauge,

I have not tried Pinnacle or Pioneer yet. I have used Pyrodex and Clear Shot in my caplocks, and now that I worked up an accuracy load, I understand Clear Shot is no more.

I stock up on BP every chance I get and have a few pounds put by.

Adam
