Maybe try and plan something for next winter. I have to get my knee operated on in about 3 weeks, and by the time it will be functional I have to start guiding bear hunts.

Sure would like to get a pig or two. Hunted warthogs in Africa and that was way too much fun!

Any chance of getting a bobcat or two where you are?

Cheers!

No. Can't use dogs for bear hunting where I live. It wouldn't be practical. I'll PM you and explain.....its the terrain in the north and the amount of private land in the south part of the province.

I have hunted over dogs for bear and cougar before.....actually I guided for an outfitter that had dogs in British Columbia. It was lot of fun.

I got a tremendous lynx at home here last year and I have always wanted to get a big bobcat. Trapped a few but never shot one.

I think it would be great fun to stick a few hogs and if you could swing it, get a bobcat or two on the same trip.

Will do...I will be aiming for this next winter. Can't go anywhere until the deer hunts are over, which is the beginning of December. So, most likely it will be in January or February.

I will get ahold of you about it in mid October after I am finished guiding our moose hunts.

My dad lives in Caddo and works in Durant. If I ever get any free time, I'd like to go hog hunting again.I'm kinda tied down between work and graduate school right now.Do you fish Texoma much?

We took some nice hogs out of the new hunt camp over by Perry Fl a few weeks back. I hope to get back up to South Ga in a week or so, to clear more rampaging hogs out of the camp there.
We don't use dogs, no reason other than none of us have anything suitable than Scotties. We just bait them up, and get up in a stand and wait. Most of the shooting is done pretty late at night.
