Welcome- I am also new to this site. I usually ask anyone who spews antihunting crap if they have ever shot a gun or gone huning. I am also a firm believer that you are born with the ability to kill an animal or you simply are not. My brother never took to hunting even though my Dad took him out. He shot his first and only deer when he was 17 or 18 and has never hunted a single day since. I hunt every chance I get and have killed many deer in every way possible in my state- Maine(bow, rifle and muzzleloader). He did not have the ability to pull the trigger and I do. I have actually put a lot of thought into this and believe it may be genetic. When I see a deer or turkey or anything I am going to shoot- I really don't know how to explain this but my mind kind of 'flips a switch' and my total focus is on my rifle or bow and what I am about to do- no regret, just focus and resolve. I almost become a different person from who I usually am. Don;t know if any of this makes any sense but take it for what it is. Oh, I always remember my anniversary- it is July 29 and my wife is actually the one who always forgets it.
