Welcome to the Forum. I think you need to go to the "Gun Doc" and let his/her methods correct your prior neglect, if possible now. Why did you shoot Black Powder loads and then "forget gun cleaning for a week?" The clock was ticking as you now well know because BP is unforgiving. I suppose this is another case of "live and learn." Adam
