Turkish Mauser no FFL required
I don't know if this is a good deal, bad deal, or no deal at all but I thought I would share this since I found it by mistake.
I have an 1893 mauser at home that some how some way it was rearsenaled in Japan and has a crap load of jap stampings on it but the thing is a wall hanger, bore is shot out (corroded out actually) and it is in terrible shape... however while looking for more info on it the other night I found these http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=175613 If I had $300 to drop on a mil-surp gun I would buy it thought you folks might like the chance. Really weird thing is if you go to Sportsmansguide home page and use THEIR search engine it does not bring this gun up no matter what keyword you try to type in the search box. I found the gun by doing a google search on 1893 turkish mauser |

It depends
Seems like a lot of money for an 1893 Mauser. My preference would be to examine one of these rifles in a local gun shop and get a lower price. Thanks for sharing. All the best...
