Sounder with my coffee
As I drove to check my traps this morning (8:30), I turned a corner and the bayou was black with birds. I thought they were buzzards. I stopped and glassed them ... it was crows ... and a sounder of 9 hogs.
I got out and walked towards them. The crows flew off ... but the hogs were oblivious. I was downwind ... but it was very light. I got to within 75 meters. I watched them for over 10 mins. They never realized I was standing ... in the middle of the road ... with no camo and no cover. They browsed and meandered into the woods. A nice way to start the day off. Cup of good coffee and glassing wild hogs. |

Isn't life great. Great pics.
Whiel driving today, I wished I had my camera on me because I saw a deer in the middle of a field and the deer was almost completely white. That was the whitest pibald deer I ever saw. If I had the camera, I would have gotten out of the car and taken some pics. Cameras are never around when you need them.

Billy,
Great to see you posting, and thanks for the Chrismas wishes in the other thread. The youngin will not be born until around April 16th, so I don't have to worry too much about Christmas presents right now, other than my wife. I know this forum had pics of a true albino fawn that some people had taken pics of in their bedroom. I haven't seen any of a pibald yet, but I don't look at every thread either. A pibald is not entirely white. The one I saw the other day had a couple of brown spots on it. At first, I thought it was a small cow. Albinos have no pigement whatsoever, and they usually have red or very light eyes.
