crossbow hunting in sc

I'm thinking of taking up hunting, but will probably wait till next year...I don't think a bow is the way to go because I don't have that kind of money for it, I looked at a crossbow or two and they seem a little bit more economical for me, anyway. What are the rules is SC in regards to crossbow hunting and what can I hunt with them? Thanks
