Leo Power Ring Stifeness
I bought a Leo VXII 2-7x33 and the power ring is very stiff. Bought it from swfa or opticzone, forget which, so it isn't a counterfeit. Is this normal? I tend to leave it on 3x so it isn't a big deal but to change it is a 2handed operation and I'm concerned I'll wind up throwing the POI off by torquing the scope against the rings?
My VXIII is stiff but nothing like the VXII. Thanks for any advice. 45-70 |

I have always gotten excellent and consistent performance from my Leupold scopes, but have experienced the same problem you described in every one of my Vari-X II's. It's apparently just the nature of the beast and something I've learned to live with.
It can be especially irritating when the temperature is about 15 degrees.
