Try without the wood forstock.

In tc contenders thats the first place i check. Match grade barrels normally have added hangerbar systems to sort of free float the barrel. Since this is not a t/c product check the manual to see if you can shoot without the forstock.

Check for positive lockup on the barrel and frame, Loose or real tight are both bad.

Handi rifles are famous for bad triggers but they can adjust them if you send it back to them for free.

I hear they are responsive on accuracy issues also so if you can't get it to work out call them.

The only other quick item might be to buy a box of remmington core lok 100 grains. I know a fellow range shoooter who gets about 1 1/2 inch groups out of his handi- rifle with them. I think that the accuracy average for a 243 handi- rifle. Put 85 grain bullets in it and the groups open up large.
