Cast Iron......

Like to hear from others, what do ya'll clean your cast iron pots and pans with? Either while in camp or at home. Thanks Joe.

I usually rinse mine out with hot water as soon as I'm done with them. If I do have to scrub them, I have a nylon scrub pad that doesn't see any soap and I'll use that with some hot water and reseason when I'm done.

O.k., the bunny with the pancake on his head is funny, but I'm not sure what he has to do with cast iron.

Unless you cook the bunny and his pancake in a cast iron skillet?

Cast Iron I have is about 100+ years old, smooth as glass. Rinse with hot water and re-season with lard when I get home,
heat in oven and wipe excess out. It was a gift from an ole rancher where we usta hunt.
