Weatherby guys help!

Have a Weatherby Accumark (std caliber) on the way and an looking for some Leupold dual dovetail bases & rings for it. I usually buy from Midway, but their listings show that the Mark 5 and Accumark mounts are different. I need some input from some Weatherby guys out there.

Thanks for all assistance

Ken,

I've scoped two Weatherbys one Accumark in .30-378 and a mark V in .300 wea. If my memory serves me correctly Remington 700 bases are what I used. Two piece Leupold standard bases are what I used. Call Natchez and ask before ordering but I'm almost certain that is what I used.

Good Luck
Billy

sorry I didn't read your post thoroughly. An Accumark is a Mark V action. I'm puzzled as to why Midway would list the bases as being different. I don't think that they are and I have one of each. Like I posted earlier I used Rem model 700 bases, the screw holes are the same.

Ken, if I read you last post correctly, I fail to see what the number of lugs on the bolt has to do with the receiver for mounts . . . anyways, I'd also call Natchez or Midway when you order to make sure you get the right ones, Waidmannsheil, Dom.

Leupold confirmed the 6 lug- 9 lug question to be correct as first noted by Weatherby. Lightweight mounts on the way.assistance appreciated.
