Hi Gary, You need deep penetration on Kudu, Gemsbok and Zebra. Gemsbok and Zebra especially are tough animals. Their lungs are set at a steeper angle from the mid section of the lungs, back. Aim real tight into the shoulder, just behind the bone or just under the blade. Try to avoid the typical Whitetail/Deer shot. Putting an arrow 4 to 6 inches behind the shoulder can lead to trouble. I believe in "two holes are better than one." If you get a marginal shot, you'll want as much blood to follow as possible. Use a strong broadhead, one that won't break up if you hit bone. There are several excellent books on shot placement for African animals. One is called The Perfect Shot I believe, but Cabela's should have them in their library. Steenbok are cool little antelope and Warthog can be stalked fairly easy. Zebra and Kudu may give you fits however unless you blind hunt at a water hole. Best of luck on your hunt, grayghost
