Question Simmon's Master Series

HI Guys: I am new here my first post. I was wondering if any of you have had any problems with any of the Master Series scopes? My son needed a new scope on a Rem. 7400, I talked him into getting a Pro Hunter in the Master Series. It was junk right out of the box. Now Meade Corp. owns Simmon scopes and their Tech Support sure is not what it use to be, for one they what you to have a copy of your purchase invoice. My son don't know what he did with the invoice. After I read about how great they were on the internet I was the stupid one that suggested he get one. (Feeling Guilty)

Thanks Ken:

That's to bad for sure. I have had no such problems with the 5 I have purchased, and I have shot many a round through each rifle testing loads.
Sorry for your bad experience. Keed trying Customer Service.

mnken,

What was wrong with the scope? I was actually thinking on getting one for myself. At the IWA (The German version of the gun trade show in Las Vegas) I got a chance to tinker with one, and gotta admit I thought it was a nifty little scope.

No where as good as a Leupold or Sightron, but for $100 even it seemed like a good deal, can you give me a heads up before I order one?

Thanks, JON

I had an Aetec 4-12x , never a problem, and a White Tail Classic 3.5-10x 40mm, no problem. The only thing that ever went wrong with a Simmons ProHunter I had (an old pre China model) was I droped it. Instead of repairing it, they replaced it with a Chinese model, that worked good, but I just felt wrong having it, so I gave it to a German friend for his .22LR.

Which is why I wonder why mnken doesn't like his son's.

FYI the Meade rep at the IWA told me ( the gun show in Nuernberg) REDFIELDS will be built by contract, and can't find anyone who will make them to tolerances

Sorry for the delay before I replied. The problem were having with the Pro Hunter scope, is when you try to adjust the vertical the horizontal moves. We could live with that, but when you move it about 30 clicks it only moves about 1/4 of an inch. I think something is loose or broken inside. We have 3 Aetecs and 1 44Mag scopes, I think they are good scopes for the money.

Thanks to all that replied: Ken
