Gamo vs Beeman???
I was checking out the guns at walmart today... They have a gamo shadow and a beeman 1000. They seem to be comparable according to the specs ont the box in terms of velocity ect... They both come with a scope... I wonder if the scope is worth a darn. Anyway since I know NOTHING about air rifles... Tell me what you think.
Thanks in advance for your info...

gamo is junk
i personally don't know too much about either of them except that on air gun chat rooms, most people always say that gamo quality is poor and they are junk, junk, junk,,,and they always brag on beeman quality workmanship. thats all i know.

Get the Beeman...... in R9 model, however. It's trigger is one the best out there. Or an RWS in one of their barrel cock versions. And don't settle fro a cheap scope. Spring pellet guns are very hard on scopes. The scope has to be made especailly for the unique froward recoil, even then the under $100 ones don't tend to last. Same with scope mounts.

Beeman R-9 TK Macarri
I picked this up last year from a friend of mine for an incredible price, way below what it is really worth.
It is a Beeman R-9 that has been completely worked and customized by Macarri, THE airgun guru in the US. Okay the best I know of and he doesn't make them anymore. It is my pride and joy and has one of the most beautiful stocks I have ever seen. |
