Got Some Good News

About a year ago, I was complaining about the amount my Kaiser had gone up......astronomical! Well, the old geezer finally got old enough to get Medicare......not retire but get the meds.
My company made me the offer that if I would stay another 5 years,
they would pay both my medicare and supplemental insc. I'm not ready to retire, I enjoy what I do and my health is excellent....besides, I can draw double what I would on SS now!
I still think I'm bullet proof!!!!LOL

Dan,

If you are eligible for Medicare, it means that you are 65. If you work another 5 years, when you hit 70 there is no deduction on social security for earned income that you make, so you can still work and you can draw a good amount from social security too since you waited until age 70 to collect. You'll have so much money you won't know what to do with it. Hence, send some my way. LOL

Dan you ol' geezer, good for you!! Hey, if you enjoy what you're doing that's great.

P.S. But one bit of advice -- don't take your flak vest off just yet -- all the best, Waidmannsheil, Dom.

Thanks, guys. I realize that can change in a heart beat--no pun
intended! Actually, only meds I use is a daily vitamin.
Guy across the street retired last year and is miserable.....said he'd kill me if I did...LOL....I'll hit the 65 in October.

Dan Dan Dan. . . . tisk tsk. I am glad you got the deal, and glad you are happy where you are but retirement should never be boring! It should be a time to go fishing and grin wildly at the idiots stuck in traffic on their way to work. It should be a time to be able to hunt every day of the season and grin wildly at the idiots stuck in traffic on their way to work. It should be a time when you can sleep late as you want then head to the local IHOP for a late breakfast and grin wildly at the idiots stuck in traffic going to work.

The shortly thereafter you either go on ritalin, or you become a door greeter at wal-mart. . . . .
