I'm PO'd

One of the worst days in American History and I look at the headlines and what is top News? Some POS by the Name of Bonds.

What a crock of Do-Do.

On page 3 three is a blurp about Pearl Harbor. BS

I for one have not, will not forget the sacrifice OUR servicemen and women faced during that "Dastardly Attack" on that fateful day and will continue to remind all folks what happened on that day.

I have nothing but admiration for those people. It was with the greatest pride that I served for 27 years in their footsteps and thought of them daily and still pray for them nightly.

Thank you GREATEST GENERATION for covering my butt during those times. I'd have been there also but I was just a little young at the time.

To those who gave their all at Pearl and in the continueing war I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You will never be forgotten, because I'll keep reminding people till my dying day.

What happened? A bunch of Chicken S#!t Japs attacked us. They woke a sleeping Giant in the words of a high ranking Japanese Officer and they paid heavily in the future. Sorry for not being politically correct. Wasn't one of my fields of endeavor in school.

Again thanks to those brave souls that were at Pearl and the other Bases that fateful day.

Amen. And we should also remember all those like them. At this moment, somehere many miles away there are young Americans who would love to hear that their sacrifices are not unappreciated. Why not take the time to send a simple package, or at least a card? If neither you nor anyone in your circle of acquaintances has contact info, see link below for another way to do this. It could mean more to some brave, lonely young person far from home at Christmas than you will ever know.

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
"Just tell us you love us, and never forget.
To fight for our rights back at home while we're gone,
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.

For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.
Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us."

Billy,
There is a hole in the editor's education and his/her parents failed to impress the importance of and reverence for sacrafice..... But for the news media, it is not surprising to find them so self deluded.

USS St. Louis at Pearl Harbor

My Grandfather was there. I didn't know until I did some searching on the net to find some history of his ship, the USS St. Louis, and print some pics off for him. He never bragged; to him he was just doing his job. I thought about him a lot this past Friday.

People would rather watch "reality tv" and oprah than they would learn about their own history nowdays. Nobody appreciates nothin that was done for them or is being done for them.

Remember your Vets, because with the generation thats comming up in a few years you are going to have danged few people of quality left.

Had a Uncle on the USS Maryland at Pearl(they go hit but not bad). He didn't talk about it too much till I joined the Navy then 30 years of whatever came out. Cried when he talked about the top of the Arizonia blowing apart.

My Dad ended up at Pearl about a year after Dec 7. He was lucky and never saw any combat but was willing and ready to go. The place was still a mess as he remembered it.

Yep it was a great generation. Then again we ain't too bad either but not quite as good.
