We had the same problems here with Mountain Lions. Our Fish and Game in their infinite wisdom said all the reports that came to F&G were erroneous. Dead cattle, sheep etc. had no bearing on F&G decision. That was about 2000, Five years ago they started a season on them.

F&G put a limit on Lions at 5 per season. In the last 4 years 20 Lions have been harvested. And theres still plenty out there according to reports from farmers and hunters of other game.

Sometimes I'm lead to believe that F&G Depts. don't know their butt from their elbow.
