New optics for the 10/22
Finally bit the bullet and forked out the cash for some new optics on my Ruger 10/22!
I had a Simmons Whitetail Classic on it, and the sight picture was just starting to get really poor....was time to upgrade! Just mounted the new scope and have yet to sight it in, but I am thinking its gonna work real nice! Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24X40 AO mildot. I have been wanting this scope for a few years now, and I finally found a decent deal for one on the EE(Thanx Plink!!) SO hopefully its everything I have been wanting! Only a couple upgrades left for the .22 now, still going to put a Kidd trigger group in it, and I am going to set the whole thing into a Yukon Extreme thumbhole stock. Anyways heres a few piccies: Itching to go try it out now!!

Man, that youngin' is foaming at the mouth and chomping at the bit.
Thats a great crown you have on that rifle. What kind of barrel? If that don't shoot it's the ammo you are using. Aren't you the one with the Daughter with a Hot Pink rifle? Every time I think of that picture I get a smile on my face. Best wishes, Bill |

Thats the Little Girl I was thinking of. I don't know how I transposed the Hot Pink Shoes into a rifle though.
Thats just one of those "happy pictures" though that brings a smile to your face and makes your heart feel good. Best wishes, Bill |

I remember the 10/22 with the gold plated receiver, and the little girl with the pink shoes and the rifle. Didn't know they both belong to the same guy. You lucky SOB.
I think you and I have almost the same 10/22, sans the gold plated receiver and I have a Volquartsen trigger group in mine. I love the Green Mountain barrel. Thanks for sharing the pics, and I hope my daughter and future kids are that into guns and hunting.
